The Hawthorne Christian Academy Hawks's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their fourth straight loss. They were outmatched by Victory Christian on the road and fell 71-41.
Several Hawks players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Clay Ballard, who scored 11 points. Another player making a difference was Thomas Clinton, who scored eight points along with two steals.
Hawthorne Christian Academy has been struggling recently, as they've lost five of their last six contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-6 record this season. As for Victory Christian, the victory got them back to even at 2-2.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Hawthorne Christian Academy's road trip will continue as they head out to face Carolina Christian Academy at 5:00 p.m. on January 22nd. Victory Christian will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Harvest Christian Academy at 5:30 p.m. on January 30th.
