Oakmont's game  on Tuesday was a  loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them  on Thursday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Wheatland Pirates, sneaking past  3-2. This was a revenge game for the Vikings: when they faced off against the Pirates  back in September, they had to take a  3-2  defeat.
 If you add up the scores from across all five sets (101-93) Oakmont actually scored fewer points, but in the end it didn't matter. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 25-18, 14-25, 14-25,  15-11.
 Isabella Peters paced Oakmont's offense, picking up 12 kills. Peters got some help from  Elisabel Lumley Garcia and her 22 assists. Finally,  Peters was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high four blocks.
Oakmont now  has a winning record of 11-10. As for Wheatland, they moved to 9-6 with that  loss, which also ended their three-match winning streak.
