The Ontario Warriors were the 52-46 winner over the River Valley Vikings when they last played one another back in November of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. Ontario received a tough blow on Thursday as they fell 48-29 to River Valley. Ontario has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
River Valley's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Megan Clausing, who scored 14 points along with three steals. Myla Kenney was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with six rebounds and five assists.
Ontario has been struggling recently, as they've lost six of their last eight matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-8 record this season. As for River Valley, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 7-7.
Ontario will head out on the road to challenge Clear Fork at 7:15 p.m. on Saturday. Clear Fork presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Ontario in Ohio (Clear Fork is ranked 191st, while Ontario is ranked 497th). As for River Valley, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Pleasant at 7:15 p.m. Pleasant will be looking to extend their current eight-game winning streak.
