While Eau Gallie might've come up empty on Wednesday, Carson Lietz wasn't going down without a fight. Despite the loss, Lietz was still locked in as he struck out 12 batters over 6.1 innings while giving up just two earned runs off five hits (and only one walk). He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances.

Looking ahead, Lietz and Eau Gallie will look to defend their home field on Thursday against St. Mary's at 6:00 p.m. Sadly, Lietz's big day wasn't enough to stop the loss, which snapped the Commodores' six-game streak of wins on the road.
