If the Los Molinos Bulldogs were feeling good off their 52-23 takedown of the CORE Butte Lynx last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Los Molinos fell 51-41 to the Wolverines on Friday. Los Molinos found out winning isn't easy when you don't work as a unit and post 13 fewer assists than your opponent.
Los Molinos' defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Karson Fox, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 12 rebounds. Fox is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as he's now pulled down 11 or more in the last three games he's played. Jaydin Underwood was another key contributor, scoring nine points.
Biggs got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Skyler Long out in front who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 12 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Chase McLean, who almost dropped a double-double on 15 points and nine rebounds.
Los Molinos' loss dropped their record down to 14-12. As for Biggs, the win was the tenth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 17-5.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Los Molinos will take on the Braves at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Hamilton focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 16 on Friday. As for Biggs, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against the Panthers at 8:00 p.m. Maxwell is looking to tack on another W to their five-game streak on the road.
