Valley had already won 13 in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 33.3 points) and they went ahead and made it 14 on Tuesday. They took their contest with ease, bagging a 73-26 win over the Fort Elliott Cougars. The Patriots have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won ten games by 20 points or more this season.

Kanyon Taylor was his usual excellent self, going 9 for 12 on his way to 22 points in addition to eight rebounds and seven blocks. He has been hot, having posted three or more blocks the last five times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Corbin Taylor, who went 5 for 8 on his way to 14 points and five rebounds.

Valley smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 12 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive rebounds in 14 consecutive matchups.

Valley's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-1. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 37.3 points. As for Fort Elliott, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-6 record this season.

Valley and Aspermont will compete for holiday cheer at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Valley is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 64.9 points per game this season. As for Fort Elliott, they will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Shamrock at 12:30 p.m. on December 28th.
