While Bishop McCort put up plenty of points on Friday, the same can't be said for Westmont Hilltop. The Crushers claimed a resounding 56-0 win over the Hilltoppers. Considering the Crushers have won five games by more than 31 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Bishop McCort's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jon Delia, who rushed for 87 yards and two TDs on only 11 carries, and also picked up 38 receiving yards and one score. Another player making a difference was Bentley Bainey, who picked up 46 receiving yards and one touchdown.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Bishop McCort was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 230 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 154 rushing yards in nine consecutive contests dating back to last season.

Another reason for the win was Bishop McCort's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for five sacks. The team can thank two different players for their defensive prowess: Dominick Chippie and Marquez Gordon, who each picked up 0.5 sacks apiece.

Bishop McCort's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 7-0. Those road victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 41.5 points over those games. As for Westmont Hilltop, their loss dropped their record down to 0-7.
