Baseball Recap: Oakridge's Win Ends Four-Game Losing Streak on the Road

The Oakridge Owls earned a 4-1 victory over the St. Stephen's Episcopal Spartans on Sunday.

Jett Pinkerton looked comfortable as he pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in strikeouts (four).

At the plate, Brayden Collins was excellent, going 2-for-4 with one home run.

Oakridge's win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 12-8-1. As for St. Stephen's Episcopal, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-4.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Oakridge will challenge St. Mark's at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for St. Stephen's Episcopal, they will square off against New Braunfels Thunder at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Homeschool will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something the Spartans surely won't give up without a fight.
