The Camp Hill Lions's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Wednesday after their third straight loss. 2024 welcomed they with a 47-24 loss courtesy of Trinity. While losing is never fun, Camp Hill can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 513th, while Trinity is ranked 119th).
Camp Hill got a good chunk of their points from the dynamic duo of
Julia Consiglio and
Kate Bruder, who each put up six points.
Camp Hill's defeat was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 3-9. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 28.2 points per game. As for Trinity, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 7-3.
Camp Hill will head out on the road to face off against Susquehanna Township at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Susquehanna Township is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt want to keep things rolling. As for Trinity, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Middletown at 7:30 p.m.
