Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Pottsboro). They put the hurt on the S & S Consolidated Rams with a sharp 21-3 win on Friday. The team's explosion at the plate also rewarded the Cardinals with their most commanding win of the season.

Pottsboro is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-3-1 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.8 runs over those games. S & S Consolidated's defeat was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 4-7.

Pottsboro wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 7-2 win against Tom Bean on the 22nd. As for S & S Consolidated, they will square off against Blue Ridge at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
