Meanwhile, Leon played a tough game on Thursday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were dealt a 48-17 defeat at the hands of Chiles. The Lions haven't had much luck with the Timberwolves recently, as the team has come up short the last eight times they've met.
Even if they lost, Leon's defensive line still kept up the pressure with four sacks. Tarlyn Joseph was particularly dangerous to the passing game, picking up two himself. Grant Wheeler was another major factor on D, picking up a sack and making ten total tackles (2.0 for loss).
Taylor County pushed their record up to 8-1 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road. Friday's matchup might be decided in the trenches. Taylor County has been unstoppable on the ground this season, having averaged 221.1 rushing yards per game.
