In what's become a running theme this season, Cedar Valley gave their fans yet another huge  win on Friday. They never let the American Fork Cavemen onto the board and left with  a   10-0  victory. Give Cedar Valley's pitching crew some credit: that's the team's third straight shutout.
  Catharina Underwood was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she  didn't allow a single  earned run and  only two  hits while striking out 13 over six innings pitched. Underwood has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't  tossed less than five  strikeouts in seven consecutive pitching appearances. Underwood was also big at the plate,  going 4-for-4 with a  triple and a  double.
 In other batting news,  Jeslyn Collins was  incredible,  scoring a  run and  stealing three bases while going 2-for-3. Another player making a difference was  Mindy Ward, who  scored two  runs while going 3-for-4.
 Cedar Valley has  been performing  incredibly well recently as they've  won six of their last seven games,  which provided a nice bump to their 8-2 record  this season. As for American Fork, their loss was  their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season, which  dropped their record down to 3-6.
 Both  teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Cedar Valley will take on Springville at 3:30  p.m.  on Tuesday. The pair have allowed few  runs on average, (Springville: 2.2, Cedar Valley: 2.8) so any  runs scored will be well earned. As for American Fork, they will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Skyridge at 3:30  p.m.  on April 9th.
