San Marcos is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. Everything went their way against Lincoln on Thursday as San Marcos made off with a 12-5 victory. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Royals as it put an end to their five-game losing streak.
Brett Hollowell tossed a big game, pitching five innings while giving up just two earned runs off six hits. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in strikeouts (four).

On the hitting side, Quinn Melton was a standout: he scored three runs and stole a base while going 2-for-4. Those three runs gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Grant Hoover, who scored two runs while going 3-for-4.
San Marcos always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .545. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, Ventura entered their tilt with George Washington on Thursday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They walked away with a 9-4 victory over the Patriots.
Kade Bouvet looked comfortable as he tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits.
At the plate, Elijah Burt was excellent, scoring two runs while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. Carter Kimble was another key player, scoring two runs while going 2-for-4.
Ventura's win bumped their record up to 9-5-1. As for San Marcos, their victory bumped their record up to 4-10.
