The Tallassee Tigers had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 26 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They walked away with a 47-40 victory over Alabama Christian Academy. That's another feather in the cap for Tallassee, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Rowen Thornton was his usual excellent self, scoring 28 points. The contest was his tenth in a row with at least ten points.
Tallassee is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 7-3 record this season. As for Alabama Christian Academy, the last time they won on the road was back last Tuesday. Having now lost three straight away contests, they've bumped their record down to 4-4.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Tallassee has the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome Bullock County at 7:00 p.m. on December 11th. Bullock County is coming into the game on a three-game losing streak. As for Alabama Christian Academy, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Elmore County at 7:00 p.m.
