Santa Rosa pushed the score to 43-0 by the end of the third, a deficit Monte Alto had no chance of recovering from.
Santa Rosa got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Jj Anaya out in front who rushed for 67 yards and three touchdowns. Diego Cruz also deserves a shout-out for his two touchdowns.
Taft's victory bumped their season record to 4-4 while Hebbronville's loss dropped theirs to 3-5.
Friday's match might be decided on the ground as these two are both standouts in the run game. Hebbronville has been unstoppable on the ground this season, having averaged 260.7 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like Santa Rosa struggles in that department as they've been averaging 150.6 per game. It's looking like Friday's matchup might have some serious battles in the trenches.
