San Marino is 0-10 against La Canada since October of 2019 but things could change on Tuesday. The Titans will head out on the road to square off against the Spartans at 5:00 p.m. La Canada took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on San Marino, who comes in off a win.
San Marino will bounce into Tuesday's matchup after beating Polytechnic, who they had gone 1-6 against in their seven prior meetings. The Titans came out on top against the Panthers by a score of 3-1 on Friday. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last four times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.
San Marino had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The match finished with set scores of 19-25, 25-23, 27-25, 25-17.

San Marino's success was spearheaded by the efforts of Ariminty Yu, who had 42 digs and one assist, and Cynthia Kackstetter, who had 35 assists and ten digs. That's the most digs Yu has posted since back in August. Another player making a difference was Daniela Levy, who had nine digs and two aces.
San Marino was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 11 aces. They are 10-4-1 when they serve at least ten aces.
Meanwhile, La Canada didn't have quite enough to beat South Pasadena on Thursday and fell 3-2.
In a back-and-forth that saw neither team win consecutive sets, La Canada sadly dropped the once that decided the match. The final score came out to 25-18, 19-25, 25-22, 12-25, 15-12.
San Marino is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 17-13-1 record this season. As for La Canada, they now have a losing record of 12-13.
San Marino suffered a grim 3-0 defeat to La Canada in their previous meeting back in September. Can the Titans avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
