Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Marlboro Academy). They blew past the Christ the Cornerstone Academy Defenders 22-3 on Monday. The Dragons haven't had any issues with the Defenders recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

Madelyn Roscoe was a standout: she went 3-for-4 with six RBI, one triple, and one double. Those six RBI gave her a new career-high. Addison Herndon was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 4-for-4.

Marlboro Academy always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .906. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Marlboro Academy's win bumped their record up to 7-5. As for Christ the Cornerstone Academy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-3.

Marlboro Academy and Christ the Cornerstone Academy will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next matchups. The next time the Dragons see the field they'll take on Thomas Sumter Academy at 5:00 p.m. on the 30th. As for Christ the Cornerstone Academy, their break will end when they face Mintz Christian Academy at 4:00 p.m. on the 28th.
