Washington has not had much luck with West Craven recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
West Craven's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Shalawn Yates, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and 11 rebounds. That makes it nine consecutive games in which Yates has scored at least 25% of West Craven's points. Nyliah Bryant was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with seven assists and five steals.
Washington's defeat was their fifth straight at home, which bumped their record down to 1-8. As for West Craven, the victory for they keeps them at an undefeated 9-0.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Washington has the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome Farmville Central at 6:00 p.m. on January 5th. West Craven will take on East Carteret at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. East Carteret is coming into the match hot, having won their last ten games.
