The North Springs Spartans's game last Friday was a tough loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They strolled past Centennial with points to spare, taking the game 72-55. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Esmer Madesko was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 33 points and 11 rebounds. That makes it seven consecutive games in which he has scored at least a third of North Springs' points. The team also got some help courtesy of Troy Hill, who scored 14 points along with five assists and two steals.
North Springs' victory bumped their record up to 7-16. As for Centennial, their defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 10-13.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. North Springs will take on the Bears at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Cambridge presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than the Spartans in Georgia (the Bears are ranked 50th, while the Spartans are ranked 241st). As for Centennial, they will be playing in front of their home fans against the Cougars at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
