On Thursday, The South Carolina School for the Deaf & Blind Hornets faced the Carolina W Wildcats in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Carolina W's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Mike Barnett , who threw for 158 yards and two touchdowns while completing 80% of his passes, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground. Another player making a difference was Jericus Mackey, who rushed for 138 yards and a touchdown on only ten carries.
Another reason for the win was Carolina W's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for six sacks. The heavy lifting was done by Titus Hendricks and Xzavion Howard who racked up four sacks between them.
South Carolina School for the Deaf & Blind's loss dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Carolina W, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-5.
