Sulphur Bluff is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They walked away with a 7-3 victory over Detroit on Friday. The team's explosion at the plate also rewarded the Bears with their most commanding win of the season.

Sulphur Bluff's win was truly a team effort as two different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Jaydon Carrell, who scored two runs while going 1-for-1. Tyson Collins also deserves some recognition as he stole his first stolen base of the season.

Sulphur Bluff always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .684. That was just more of the same: they've now posted an OBP of .529 or higher in three consecutive games.

Meanwhile, Campbell had just enough and edged out Miller Grove 8-7 on Saturday.

Sulphur Bluff's victory bumped their record up to 3-0-1. As for Campbell, the win got them back to even at 3-3-1.

Thursday's matchup might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Sulphur Bluff has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .519. However, it's not like Campbell struggles in that department as they've averaged .494. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.

Sulphur Bluff might still be hurting after the 18-6 loss they got from Campbell in their previous matchup back in April of 2018. Can Sulphur Bluff avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
