After a string of five wins, The Independence Wildcats''s good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They and Mooreville were almost perfectly matched up, but Independence suffered an agonizing 13-12 loss. Independence was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Mooreville apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in September of 2016.
Independence's loss dropped their record down to 7-3. As for Mooreville, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-3.
Independence does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Mooreville will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against Humphreys County at 7:00 p.m. on November 10th. Humphreys County is coming into the game hot, having won their last three games.
