Pennington took a 62-56 hit to the loss column at the hands of Mercersburg Academy. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Pennington has scored all season.
Mercersburg Academy's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Thaddeus Lee, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 13 rebounds. The match was Lee's seventh in a row with at least ten points. Erik Oliver-Busch was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 12 points and ten assists.
Pennington's loss dropped their record down to 3-2. As for Mercersburg Academy, they pushed their record up to 5-2 with that victory, which was their third straight at home dating back to last season.
Pennington's road trip will continue as they head out to face Friends' Central at 6:00 p.m. on December 13th. As for Mercersburg Academy, they will be playing at home against St. James at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in their respective states (St. James is ranked 18th in Maryland, while Mercersburg Academy is ranked sixth in Pennsylvania).
