The Parker Braves will head out on the road to square off against the Wolfson Wolfpack at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Parker will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each match than the last.
Parker had to skate by with only a two-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 15-run drubbing they dealt Cedar Creek Christian on Tuesday. Parker never let Cedar Creek Christian get on the board and left with a 15-0 victory. Considering the Braves have won four games by more than seven runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.
The team relied heavily on Marcus Johnson, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with three runs, three RBI, and one triple. That's the most runs he has posted since back in April of 2024. Yassac Parra also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.
Parker was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .526. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .321 or higher in five consecutive contests.
The home team had come away the winner the last four times Wolfson and Stanton had met, but sadly for the fans who attended this one that wasn't the case. Wolfson walked away with a 4-0 win over Stanton on Monday. The victory continues a trend for the Wolfpack in their matchups with the Blue Devils: they've now won four in a row.
The result came thanks to Caleb Camden's shutout, as he gave up just two hits and racked up 11 Ks. What's more, he gave up only zero earned runs, the fewest he's had since back in April of 2024.
On the hitting side, Samuel Sprague was excellent, scoring two runs and stealing Two bases. while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. The team also got some help courtesy of Nick Fischer, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with three stolen bases.
Parker has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-3 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.8 runs over those games. Wolfson picked up their first road win, bumping their record up to 4-5.
Wolfson's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Parker hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .363. It's a different story for Wolfson, though, as they've only averaged .249. Will they be able to contain Parker's hitters?
Parker might still be hurting after the 11-1 defeat they got from Wolfson in their previous meeting back in April of 2024. Can Parker avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
