After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Montgomery, Piner was happy to have turned things around on Monday. They came out on top against the Terra Linda Trojans by a score of 6-3. The victory was some much needed relief for the Prospectors as it spelled an end to their four-game losing streak.

Piner's win bumped their record up to 6-11. As for Terra Linda, they dropped their record down to 3-13 with the loss, which was their seventh straight at home.

Coming up, Piner will venture away from home to take on Analy at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Prospectors' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Tigers have averaged an impressive 8.7 runs per game this season. As for Terra Linda, they will welcome San Marin at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Mustangs' pitching crew has only allowed 3.3 runs per game this season, so the Trojans' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
