The Faith Academy Flames entered their tilt with the Reicher Catholic Cougars with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. Faith Academy blew past Reicher Catholic 63-13 at home. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 33-8.
Faith Academy had a senior duo take command as Morgan Weems scored nine points along with six rebounds and five steals and Alayna Steele dropped a double-double on ten points and ten rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Ella Cozby, who scored eight points along with two steals.
Faith Academy's win bumped their record up to 10-11. As for Reicher Catholic, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-6.
Faith Academy will be playing at home against Brazos Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Brazos Christian has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 207 points over their last three matchups. Reicher Catholic on the road again on Thursday and play against Round Rock Christian Academy at 6:15 p.m. on January 18th. The timing is sure in Round Rock Christian Academy's favor as the team sits on three straight wins at home while Reicher Catholic has been banged up by 11 consecutive losses on the road.
