They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 72-69 win over Mansfield Legacy. Winning may never get old, but Waxahachie sure is getting used to it with their fifth in a row.
Leading Waxahachie to victory were Trae Nunn and King Grace. Nunn scored 21 points along with six rebounds and two steals, while Grace scored 26 points along with three blocks and two steals. Grace has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more points the last four times he's played. Isayah Pankey was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with six assists and four blocks.
Waxahachie is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 12 games, which provided a nice bump to their 13-8 record this season. As for Mansfield Legacy, they bumped their record down to 7-12 with that defeat, which was their fourth straight at home.
Waxahachie will take on Mansfield at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
