Harrison County put another one in the bag  on Wednesday to keep their perfect season alive. They were the clear victors by  a  10-3 margin over the Pendleton County Wildcats. The Thorobreds/Fillies have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Wildcats, too.
 Isabella Persinger made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She  tossed seven innings while giving up just one earned  (and two unearned) runs off   eight  hits. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't  tossed less than five  strikeouts in six consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box,  going 1-for-3 with one  double and one  RBI.
 In other batting news,  Shyanne Ross was  incredible,  going 2-for-4 with one  home run, three  RBI,  and two  runs. She has been hot recently, having  posted  at least one  home run the last three times she's  played.  Owyn McCoy was another key player,  scoring two  runs while  getting on base  in three of her four plate appearances.
 Harrison County  hit smart and  finished the game with only two  strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least four  strikeouts batters  in three consecutive  matches.
Harrison County's victory was  their 13th straight at home dating back to last season, which  pushed their record up to 16-0. Those  home  wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.0 run on average over those games. As for Pendleton County,  they are  on  a  three-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 1-4.

As for Pendleton County, they will look to defend their home field  on Thursday against Nicholas County  at 6:00  p.m. The Bluejackets have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 10.86  runs per game on average), something the Wildcats will no doubt try to take advantage of.
