Even though the Riverview Sharks scored an imposing 63 points on Thursday, the Steinbrenner Warriors still came out on top. Steinbrenner secured a 69-63 W over the Sharks. The win made it back-to-back wins for Steinbrenner.
Justice Momrik was his usual excellent self, scoring 25 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. Carson Krueger was another key contributor, scoring four points along with 14 rebounds and four blocks.
Riverview lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Bryson Kearney, who scored 18 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Alexander Mercer-Eriksen, who scored 14 points.
Steinbrenner's win bumped their record up to 4-21. As for Riverview, they are on a eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-18.
Steinbrenner is on the road again on Tuesday and plays the Ravens at 7:00 p.m. on February 6th. As for Riverview, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against the Chargers at 7:00 p.m. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in Florida (Strawberry Crest is ranked 700th, while the Sharks are ranked 678th).
