Even though the Black Hills Wolves have not done well against the Tumwater Thunderbirds recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. Black Hills enjoyed a cozy 62-46 win over Tumwater. The win made it back-to-back wins for Black Hills.
Black Hills found their leader in underclassman Tyler Venable, who scored 23 points. That makes it three consecutive games in which Venable has scored at least 25% of Black Hills' points. Another player making a difference was Ashley Harris, who scored 15 points along with five rebounds.
Black Hills' victory bumped their record up to 10-2. As for Tumwater, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-4.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Black Hills will be staying on the road on Tuesday to face off against Centralia at 7:00 p.m. on January 9th. Centralia is out to stop a four-game streak of losses at home. As for Tumwater, they will head out on the road to face off against WF West at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
