Volleyball Recap: Kinkaid Has No Trouble Against Village

Kinkaid's game on Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. They blew past the Village Vikings 3-0. The Falcons not only won on Thursday, but they posted their biggest win since August 22nd (when they won 3-0).

Kinkaid's got stronger as the match went on, holding Village to fewer and fewer points set over set. The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 25-18, 25-16.

Kinkaid's offense was headlined by Sienna Bailey and Taylor Moore, who picked up ten kills apiece. They got some help from Lola Prpa and her 27 assists. She was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.

The victory snapped Kinkaid's losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 8-14 record. As for Village, they are on a 15-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-10.

Kinkaid and Village could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings. The Falcons will challenge George Ranch at 4:30 p.m. on Friday with a big rank disadvantage (744 vs. 215). Meanwhile, Village (ranked 1179th) will meet FBCHA (ranked 174th) at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
