Iota won against Church Point  last Tuesday with 12  runs and they decided to stick to that  run total again  on Thursday. Iota was the clear victor by  a  12-1 margin over the Crowley Gent. Considering the Bulldogs have won ten contests by more than seven  runs this season, Thursday's  blowout was nothing new.
Iota got a  massive  performance out of  Addison Cormier, who  scored two  runs and  stole two bases while  getting on base  in three of her four plate appearances. That's the most  stolen bases  Cormier has posted since back in February. Another player making a difference was  Chloe Bordelon, who  scored two  runs and  stole a base while going 2-for-3.
 Iota  always had someone on base and  finished the game having  posted an OBP of .613. That's the best  OBP they've posted all season.
Iota is  on a roll lately: they've  won 13 of their last 15 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-3 record  this season. The  wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.5 runs on average over those games. This is the second loss in a row for Crowley and  nudges their season record down to 9-6.
 Both  squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Iota will head out to  face off against Rosepine  at 5:00  p.m.  on Monday. As for Crowley, they will venture away from home to  take on Elton  at 5:00  p.m.  on Monday.
