Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Spring Valley). They walked away with a 36-28 victory over the Turtle Lake Lakers on Friday. The win almost wasn't to be: the Cardinals were down 28-14 in the third quarter.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Spring Valley to victory, but perhaps none more so than Will Biggs, who picked up 103 receiving yards and a pair of touchdowns, and also rushed for 32 yards. Mason Winger was another key signal caller, throwing for 165 yards and three TDs while completing 73.3% of his passes.

Spring Valley didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Biggs and Sam Schmitt.

The victory got Spring Valley back to even at 2-2. As for Turtle Lake, their defeat dropped their record down to an identical 2-2.

Spring Valley wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 31-6 win against Cadott on the 19th. As for Turtle Lake, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 49-20 victory against Elmwood/Plum City on the 19th.
