Dayspring Academy might have lost, but man, John-Michael Martin was a machine: he scored 33 points along with 7 rebounds and 5 assists. The game was Martin's fourth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jordan Jackson, who scored 12 points.
Meanwhile, Mount Juliet Christian Academy didn't have too much trouble with Foundation Christian Academy at home on Friday as they won 42-27.
Greeir Goddard-hammond and Jamie Edgerton were among the main playmakers for Mount Juliet Christian Academy as the former scored 8 points along with 9 rebounds and the latter scored 11 points. Goddard-hammond has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last three times he's played. Cambell Warren was another key contributor, scoring 9 points.
Foundation Christian Academy's victory bumped their season record to 2-0 while Dayspring Academy's defeat dropped theirs to 2-5.
Dayspring Academy was taken down by Mount Juliet Christian Academy 92-43 in their previous meeting back in November of 2022. Can Dayspring Academy avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
