The Pioneer Mustangs are taking a road trip to  take on the Piedmont Hills Pirates  at 4:00  p.m.  on Friday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.
Pioneer barely beat Evergreen Valley the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Mustangs put the hurt on the Cougars with a sharp  15-2 win on Thursday. The Mustangs haven't had any issues with the Cougars recently, as the game was their third consecutive  victory against them.

 Pioneer let  Cara Goodrich and  Olivia Krump run wild. Goodrich  earned three  runs and two  stolen bases, while  Krump  went 2-for-3 with three  RBI, one  stolen base,  and one  run. Those  three  RBI gave  Krump a new career-high.  Riley Nevins also deserves some recognition as  she  snagged her first  stolen base of the season.
Meanwhile, Piedmont Hills had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 9.5 runs) and they went ahead and made it five on Wednesday. Piedmont Hills got a big performance out of  Ava Delagrande, who  went 2-for-3 with one  run, one  double,  and one  RBI.  Danie Pacheco was another key player,  getting on base  in two of her four plate appearances with two  runs and one  stolen base.
 Piedmont Hills  hit smart and  finished the game with only two  strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least four batters  in five consecutive  matchups.
