The Hedgesville Eagles's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Monday after their sixth straight defeat. They ended up on the wrong side of a rough 46-26 walloping at the hands of Jefferson. That's two games in a row now that Hedgesville has lost by exactly 20 points.
Despite the defeat, Hedgesville saw an underclassman step up: Gracie Brown scored six points along with ten rebounds.
Hedgesville dropped their record down to 5-12 with that loss, which was their third straight on the road. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 29.0 points per game. As for Jefferson, their victory ended a six-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-15.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Hedgesville will take on the Saints at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Jefferson, they will be playing at home against the Patriots at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
