The West Broward Bobcats will take on the Flanagan Falcons at TBD on Tuesday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: both teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.
Last Friday, West Broward came up short against the Panthers and fell 66-59. While losing is never fun, West Broward can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 402nd, while the Panthers are ranked 79th).
Meanwhile, Flanagan came into Wednesday's game having lost 16 straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They had just enough and edged Coral Springs Charter out 62-60. Flanagan's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
West Broward's loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 9-10. As for Flanagan, their victory ended a 14-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 1-15.
Everything came up roses for West Broward against the Falcons in their previous matchup back in January as the squad secured a 62-27 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for West Broward since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
