Hollins came out on top against Northeast on Friday thanks in part to Hailey Mercado's efforts. Mercado produced her best game of the campaign: she scored three runs and stole Four bases. while getting on base in all five of her plate appearances. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in stolen bases.

Mercado and Hollins will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Clearwater Central Catholic at 7:00 p.m. on March 24th. The last time Mercado duked it out with Clearwater Central Catholic (back in April of 2024), Hollins came out on top by a score of 12-8.
