The Piedmont Panthers will head out on the road to challenge the Parkwood Wolf Pack at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Piedmont is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 10.4 runs per game this season.
Things were looking good for Piedmont after they put the first points on the board on Friday, but unfortunately for them things went downhill from there. They fell 6-3 to Weddington.

Jailyn Thomas spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered six earned runs on eight hits and racked up 12 Ks. She has been consistent : she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in seven consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Piedmont saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ashlyn Pressley, who went 3-for-4 with two doubles and one RBI.
Meanwhile, Parkwood came up short against Marvin Ridge on Friday, falling 13-5. The Wolf Pack have struggled against the Mavericks recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive lost meetings.
Brinley Parker made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one home run, four RBI, and one stolen base. She also put up a double, which was her first of the season.
Piedmont's record now sits at 6-2. As for Parkwood, their record now sits at 2-4.
Parkwood's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Piedmont has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 10.5 hits per game. It's a different story for Parkwood, though, as they've been averaging 9.8 hits. Given Piedmont's sizable advantage in that area, Parkwood will need to find a way to close that gap.
Piedmont took their victory against Parkwood in their previous matchup back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 10-4. Will Piedmont repeat their success, or does Parkwood have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
