The Wes-Del Warriors will head out on the road to square off against the Tri-Central Trojans at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Wes-Del is coming into the match hot, having won their last seven games.
Wes-Del's pitching crew heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Monday. Everything went their way against Muncie Central as they made off with a 17-0 win. The result was nothing new for the Warriors, who have now won six contests by six runs or more so far this season.

Devyn Jaycox made a splash no matter where she played. She didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out seven over five innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in three consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. That's the most stolen bases she has posted since back in April of 2024.
In other batting news, Brooklynn Eden was a standout: she went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI. Those two RBI gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Kenzie Anderson, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with one triple, one stolen base, and one run.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Tri-Central, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Wednesday. They walked away with a 10-7 victory over Sheridan on Thursday. The win continues a trend for the Trojans in their matchups with the Blackhawks: they've now won five in a row.
Claire Conrad was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. That home run was her first of the season. Addy Mackey was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one triple, two RBI, and one run.
Tri-Central lost a few balls and finished the game with two home runs. That's the most home runs they've managed all season.
Wes-Del pushed their record up to 8-3 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 14.0 runs over those games. As for Tri-Central, their victory was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-3 and their overall record up to 3-8.
Tri-Central's hitters will have their work cut out for them on Friday. Wes-Del has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 9 strikeouts per game. It's a different story for Tri-Central, though, as they've been averaging only 3.9 strikeouts. Will Wes-Del keep running through batters, or will the Trojans buck the trend?
Wes-Del was able to grind out a solid win over Tri-Central in their previous matchup back in May of 2021, winning 8-4. Do the Warriors have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Trojans turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
