The Hicksville Aces scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Saturday. They escaped with a win against Bryan by the margin of a single free throw, 57-56. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Hicksville found their leader in underclassman Garrett Turnbull, who scored 24 points along with five assists. The matchup was Turnbull's third in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Austin Sanders, who scored 13 points along with five rebounds.
The victory got Hicksville back to even at 2-2. As for Bryan, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-2.
Hicksville will head out on the road to face off against Pettisville at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Bryan, they will square off against Edgerton at TBD on Monday.
