Saint Stephen's Episcopal took a loss when they played away from home on Tuesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Thursday. They came out on top against Lakeside Christian by a score of 6-3.
Gabriel Conn was a major factor no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching 2.2 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Furthermore, he didn't allow a single earned run, the first time he has blanked an opponent since back in March of 2024. He was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-3.
In other batting news, Jackson Riffe was incredible, scoring a run while going 2-for-3. What's more, he posted three RBI, the most he's had since back in March of 2024. Brody Redmon was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.
Meanwhile, Sarasota Military Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They lost 11-1 to Sarasota Christian.
Sarasota Military Academy saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Keyler Delrio, who went 2-for-3 with one double.
Sarasota Military Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Saint Stephen's Episcopal, the victory got them back to even at 2-2.

It's a different story for Sarasota Military Academy, though, as they've only averaged .288. Will they be able to contain Saint Stephen's Episcopal's hitters?
