Forestburg found their leader in sophomore Brenna Briles, who dropped a double-double on 30 points and ten steals. That's the most points Briles has posted since back in January. The team also got some help courtesy of Megan Bain, who posted six points in addition to nine rebounds and five steals.
Meanwhile, Non Varsity Tournament Opponent was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a 22-8 bruising from Carlin.
Forestburg now has a winning record of 6-5. As for Non Varsity Tournament Opponent, their defeat dropped their record down to 15-52-1.
Forestburg was able to grind out a solid win over Non Varsity Tournament Opponent in their previous matchup back in November, winning 37-26. The rematch might be a little tougher for Forestburg since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
