The Piedmont Academy Cougars are taking a road trip to  take on the Tattnall Square Academy Trojans  at 6:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. Both come into the  game bolstered by wins in their previous  matches.
Piedmont Academy is headed into the  matchup after thoroughly thrashing Augusta Prep Day: they outscored them in every quarter. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that Piedmont Academy blew Augusta Prep Day out of the water with  a  72-21 final score. That 51 point margin sets a new team best for the Cougars this season.

  Marissa Holder was  her usual excellent self,  going 9 for 14 from beyond the arc on her way to 34  points in addition to eight  rebounds and eight  blocks. Her afternoon made it five games in a row in which  she has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of  Kylee Keck, who  went 7 for 13  on her way to 20 points.
 Meanwhile, Tattnall Square Academy waltzed into their contest  last Friday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They had just enough and edged the Knights out  52-50. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest  victory the Trojans have posted  since December 28, 2023.
 Tattnall Square Academy's win bumped their record up to 6-4. As for Piedmont Academy,  the  victory made it two in a row for them and  bumps their season record up to 10-3.
 Piedmont Academy came up short against Tattnall Square Academy in their previous matchup  back in January of 2024, falling  58-48. Can Piedmont Academy avenge their  defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
