Kahle Lee was a standout: he went 3-for-4 with three stolen bases, three runs, and three RBI. He has become a key player for Tri-County [Kansas/Shiloh/Oakland]: the team is 3-1 when he posts at least three RBI, but 1-8 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Myles Watson, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with four stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI.
Tri-County [Kansas/Shiloh/Oakland] was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .500. They are 4-1 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.
Meanwhile, Arcola strolled into their game on Wednesday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They never let Cumberland get on the board and left with a 4-0 win. Those four runs were actually the fewest the Purple Riders have put up all season, but given the result they're probably not too concerned.
Tanner Thomas made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out 17 over seven innings pitched. Those 17 strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI.
Thomas wasn't the only one making solid contact as three players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Brody Phillips, who went 1-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.
Tri-County [Kansas/Shiloh/Oakland]'s victory bumped their record up to 4-9. As for Arcola, their win was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 11-0.
Both the two teams just can't seem to miss. Tri-County [Kansas/Shiloh/Oakland] has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 9.7 hits per game. However, it's not like Arcola struggles in that department as they've been averaging only 2.7 hits. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
