Seminary came tearing into Friday's contest with eight straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 11.6 runs), and they left with even more momentum. Everything went their way against the Resurrection Catholic Eagles as they made off with an 11-1 win. Considering the Bulldogs have won 12 matches by more than five runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Dan Sinclair looked comfortable as he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. That's the fewest hits he has allowed since back in February.

At the plate, Seminary let Jomarrion 'JoJo' Flowers and Jimmy 'JD' Harvey run wild. Flowers scored two runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-3, while Harvey went 1-for-2 with one home run and two RBI. Stanley Peters was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Seminary always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .517. That was just more of the same: they've now posted an OBP of .517 or higher in three consecutive games.

Seminary's victory was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 16-4. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.9 runs on average over those games. As for Resurrection Catholic, they moved to 10-5 with that defeat, which also ended their six-game winning streak.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Seminary will host Hazlehurst at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Resurrection Catholic, they will face off against St. Patrick at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Resurrection Catholic's pitchers better be ready for this one: St. Patrick has averaged an impressive 7.3 runs per game this season.
