The Osage Indians pushed their score all the way to 77 on Saturday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a 82-77 hit to the loss column at the hands of St. Elizabeth. Despite running the score up even higher than they did on Tuesday (57), Osage still had to take the loss.
St. Elizabeth's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was NIck Heckemeyer, who scored 23 points along with 8 rebounds. Isaac Green was another key contributor, scoring 16 points along with 7 rebounds and 6 assists.
Osage's defeat dropped their record down to 2-1. As for St. Elizabeth, the win got them back to even at 2-2.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Osage will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Knob Noster at 5:00 p.m. on December 21st. As for St. Elizabeth, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Crocker at 6:00 p.m.
