The Kashmere Fighting Rams can finally bid farewell to their three-game losing streak thanks to their game on Thursday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 25-22 victory over Milby. The win was just what Kashmere needed coming off of a 60-22 loss in their prior matchup.
Milby's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Ke'lia Smith, who scored 8 points along with 6 rebounds and 6 steals. Smith continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Myah Guerra, who scored 4 points along with 6 rebounds.
Kashmere's victory bumped their record up to 1-3. As for Milby, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-6.
Kashmere will be playing in front of their home fans against Worthing at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Milby won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Incarnate Word Academy at 7:30 p.m. on December 1st.
