It was a good run, but the Bland County Bears unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Saturday. They took a hard 60-43 fall against Floyd County.
Several Bears players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Danielle Sanders, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 11 rebounds. Sanders scored a full 27.9% of Bland County's points, the second time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Tinley Worley, who scored 14 points.
Bland County's defeat dropped their record down to 3-1. As for Floyd County, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 4-2.
Bland County will head out on the road to face off against Grayson County at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Grayson County will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak. Floyd County will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Franklin County at 7:00 p.m. on December 19th.
