Softball Recap: Evadale Wins Going Away Against Sabine Pass

The third road contest was the charm for Evadale, as they earned their first away victory of the season. Everything went their way against the Sabine Pass Sharks on Friday as Evadale made off with an 18-1 win. The Rebels might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four matchups by eight runs or more this season.

The victory got Evadale back to even at 4-4. As for Sabine Pass, they are on a 16-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-7.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Evadale will host Deweyville at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Deweyville will roll in looking for their ninth straight win, something Evadale surely won't give up without a fight. As for Sabine Pass, they will take on Big Sandy at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Big Sandy has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 10.31 runs per game on average), something Sabine Pass will no doubt try to take advantage of.
